How can you get involved?

UnLtd Indonesia has been running the Incubation Program for three years. The present cohort of 14 social enterprises started the program in August 2016 and will continue to participate in the various incubation activities for the whole year until July 2017, upon which in August 2017 the freshly selected Cohort 4 will be introduced and the program will start anew.

During the incubation year, UnLtd Indonesia provides information, knowledge and social capital as well as financial and technical assistance necessary for growing the businesses and amplifying the impact of their social mission. Here are the four basic activities we engage in and the roles you could undertake as our supporter:

FACILITATOR – WORKSHOP

Designed for a maximum of 3 days, workshops aim at providing basic information on business management and necessary business operations in an easily understandable way. Participants get first acquainted with important concepts of marketing, financial management or business plan writing, and then get a chance to apply these concepts on their own enterprises and receive feedback.

COACH – GROUP COACHING

Sometimes there are topics of business practice that are too specific to be covered in workshops but, nonetheless, pose challenges for our entrepreneurs. In such cases we address their needs by organizing group coaching sessions. During 2 hours, the entrepreneurs can ask questions on the particular topic and discuss with an expert the problems they are currently facing.

MENTOR – MENTORING

Mentoring sessions are one-on-one meetings between the mentor and the entrepreneur during which the current situation of the enterprise is discussed and advice is offered. Mentors and entrepreneurs meet at least once a month to check on the actual progress, new challenges and possible solutions.

FUNDER – FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Connecting social enterprises to external grants, soft loans or investments is one of the services we provide. Each program participant should be able to submit at least one grant, soft loan or investment application in a year. We help with writing of the funding proposal as well as with arranging a meeting with a potential funder. We also provide training in pitching and presentation skills.
